EPA Announces Recipient of $50 Million to Fund Environmental Justice Projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region

On December 20, 2023, EPA announced that it selected Green & Healthy Homes Initiative as a regional grantmaker. The organization will receive $50 million through the Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking (EJ TCGM) program to fund environmental justice projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. As a regional grantmaker, Green & Healthy Homes Initiative will accept and select subgrant proposals from smaller organizations.

EJ TCGM is authorized by IRA section 60201. The purpose of the grant program is to enable small community organizations to access federal funding using a grantmaker to administer the program.
