Type: Implementation of IRA
On March 4, 2024, NOAA announced a $500,000 agreement with NASA’s Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (CoECI) funded by IRA section 40001. CoECI will aid NOAA in endangered North Atlantic right whale recovery efforts through funding of new technologies for whale detection. This agreement is part of the IRA-funded NOAA Fisheries’ plans for North Atlantic right whale recovery announced in September 2023.
