Type: Implementation of IRA
On September 1, 2023, NOAA announced the availability of $45 million in IRA section 40001 and BIL funding for capacity building, actionable science support, and restoration projects that will advance coastal habitat restoration and the climate resilience priorities of tribes and underserved communities. $20 million is reserved for U.S. federally recognized tribes and $25 million is available to all eligible applicants. Applications are due by December 19, 2023.
