Type: Implementation of IRA
On February 20, 2024, NOAA announced $3.9 million in IRA funds to support 16 awardees in 11 states to help small businesses improve climate resilience through the Ocean-based Climate Resilience Accelerators program. The investment will allow awardees to advance new technologies for gathering coastal, ocean and Great Lakes data and observations. Phase 2 of the program will award up to a total of $55 million for the implementation of up to five proposed accelerators, and Phase 1 awardees will be invited to apply in late February.
