On November 28, 2022, the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (“BOEM”) published a “notice of sale” announcing that it would hold the Cook Inlet Planning Area Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Lease Sale 258 on December 30, 2022. Section 50264 of the IRA requires BOEM to hold Lease Sale 258 by December 31, 2022. The notice of sale contains information for potential bidders, including details of the blocks to be offered and anticipated lease terms, conditions, and stipulations.
