OMB Releases Analysis of Social and Economic Impacts of the IRA

On August 23, 2022, the Office of Management and Budget published an analysis quantifying the amount by which the Inflation Reduction Act will reduce the social and economic damages of climate change. The analysis concludes that the IRA could also “cut the social costs of climate change by up to $1.9 trillion by 2050.”
