On January 17, 2025, the Secretary of Energy announced that 94% of IRA-appropriated DOE grant funds had been committed by the agency to projects, states, and other entities as of the end of the Biden administration. 82 out of 83 IRA and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law grants made at least one round of selections, and DOE committed $170 billion in total grants between the allocations provided by the two laws.
