DOE Announces Launch of IRA-Funded Federal Home Energy Rebates Program in Arizona

Date: 08/29/2024
Type: Implementation of IRA

On August 29, 2024, DOE announced the launch of Arizona’s federal Home Energy Rebates program, “Efficiency Arizona,” funded by IRA sections 50121 and 50122. Arizona is the second state to launch the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) portion of the rebate program, which helps low and middle-income households save on energy efficiency improvements. These improvements include heat pumps, electrical panels, and insulation. DOE is requiring states and territories to allocate at least half of the rebates to low-income households.
