Type: Implementation of IRA
On April 24, 2023, DOE launched the Energy Savings Hub, a website that lists IRA clean energy tax credits and rebates and divides them by entity (e.g. homeowner, renter, vehicle owner, etc.). This includes the IRA’s $8.8 billion in rebates for home energy efficiency and electrification projects that are estimated to yield $1 billion in annual savings. The Hub allows consumers to take control of their energy costs and become aware of the increasingly efficient and cleaner alternatives that exist. DOE will continue to add educational videos to the site in the coming weeks that explain the fundamentals of clean energy technologies like rooftop solar, heat pumps, electric vehicles, and more.
