DOI Announces $16 Million in Drought Resilience Funding for the Yakima River Basin

On July 24th, 2024, the Department of the Interior announced that it was investing $16 million in drought resilience measures in the Yakima River Basin. This funding was made available through IRA section 50233, which provided $4 billion for drought mitigation measures at Reclamation sites. This funding will go to state agencies and tribal governments to improve river flows, conserve water, and more.
