DOI Announces $195 Million to Address Climate Change in National Parks

On February 27, 2024, DOI announced $195 million for climate resilience and restoration projects in national parks across the US. The announcement specified that $44 million in IRA funds will go towards work in fiscal year 2023, advancing the Administration’s initiative to restore and conserve 30 percent of lands and waters by 2030. The investment will support over 40 projects across hundreds of national parks. IRA sections 50221 and 50222 designate funding for projects on national park land.
