On November 25, 2024, DOI’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) posted a $100,000 funding opportunity in Alaska through BLM’s Plant Conservation and Restoration Program. The program supports DOI’s initiatives related to climate change resilience. The Alaska BLM office “is focused on meeting the priorities of the National Seed Strategy” through this award. Individual awards will be between $5,000 and $100,000. Applications will be reviewed in three rounds with the following deadlines: January 27, 2025 (round 1), February 27, 2025 (round 2), and March 17, 2025 (round 3). Additional application information can be found here.
The awards will be made with BLM’s fiscal year 2025 funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act. IRA section 50121 appropriated funds for DOI to support conservation and resilience projects.
