On November 20, 2024, DOI’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) posted a $200,000 grant opportunity in Oregon/Washington for cultural and paleontological resource management projects. The funding will be used to support a variety of activities, including conducting studies, monitoring and stabilizing at-risk heritage resources, training practitioners, and more. Individual awards will range from $10,000 to $100,000. Applications will be reviewed in two rounds with the following deadlines: February 10, 2025 (round 1) and March 12, 2025 (round 2). The grants are funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and IRA sections 50221 and 50222, which appropriated funds to DOI to support conservation, restoration, and resilience activities on public lands managed by the BLM.
