Type: Implementation of IRA
On November 18, 2024, DOI announced a grant opportunity through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to support work on threatened and endangered species in Oregon and Washington. The grant will fund activities to “protect biodiversity; slow species extinction rates; increase resilience to climate change and help leverage natural climate solutions” and more. Awards will be up to $1,500,000. All applications are due by March 3, 2025 at 5pm EST.
The grants are funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and IRA sections 50221 and 50222, which appropriated funds to DOI to support conservation, restoration, and resilience activities on public lands managed by the BLM.
