DOI Announces Forest and Woodlands Resource Management Funding Opportunity in Oregon & Washington with February 12, 2025 Deadline

On December 5, 2024, DOI’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) posted a $150,000 funding opportunity in Oregon/Washington for forest and woodlands resource management projects. The funding will be used to support a range of activities including “planting trees, pre-commercial and commercial thinning, salvage/sanitation forest treatments, control of competing vegetation, fuels reduction, riparian or upland restoration, Endangered Species Act or cultural clearances, data collection, monitoring, and research.” Individual awards will be between $10,000 and $100,000. Applications are due by February 12, 2025. Additional application information can be found here.

The awards will be made with BLM’s fiscal year 2025 funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act. IRA sections 50121 and 50122 appropriated funds for DOI to support conservation, resilience, and ecosystem restoration projects.
