On December 2, 2024, DOI’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) posted four funding opportunities in Colorado to support and protect natural resources on public lands:
1) DOI will award up to $350,000 through BLM’s Plant Conservation and Restoration Program. Individual awards will be between $25,000 and $250,000. Additional application information can be found here.
2) DOI will award up to $300,000 through BLM’s Colorado Threatened and Endangered Species Program. Individual awards will be between $50,000 and $200,000. Additional application information can be found here.
3) DOI will award up to $999,000 through BLM’s Colorado Aquatic Resources Program. Individual awards will be between $5,000 and $45,000. Additional application information can be found here.
4) DOI will award up to $250,000 through BLM’s Colorado Wildlife Program. Individual awards will be between $5,000 and $125,000. Additional application information can be found here.
Applications for all programs are due by January 31, 2025 at 5:00 pm EST. The awards will be made with BLM’s fiscal year 2025 funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act. IRA sections 50121 and 50122 appropriated funding for DOI to support conservation, resilience, and ecosystem restoration projects.
