On July 19, 2023, DOI announced the availability of $120 million in funding to help Tribal communities plan for severe climate-related threats as part of a $440 million investment for Tribal climate resilience programs through the BIL, IRA section 80001, and annual appropriations. Through this funding, Tribes can apply for grants in planning and adaptation categories. The BIA will host a grant writing workshop on July 26, 2023 at 12:30 pm EDT and an educational webinar on August 2, 2023 at 1 pm EDT to discuss the funding opportunity and explain how to apply for the grants.
