DOI Announces IRA Funds for Native Hawaiian Community Climate Resilience

On November 14, 2023, DOI announced the availability of $20 million in IRA funds to strengthen climate resilience in the Native Hawaiian Community. The Office of Native Hawaiian Relations‘ new Kapapahuliau Climate Resilience Program will provide organizations with resources to mitigate climate impacts. IRA section 80002 appropriates $23.5 million to the Office of Native Hawaiian Relations to carry out climate resilience and adaptation work benefiting the Native Hawaiian Community.
