On November 13, 2024, DOI announced seven grant opportunities through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to support various resource management activities in Idaho. The topics and amounts of each grant are listed below. All applications are due by February 3, 2025 at 5pm EST.
– Cultural and Paleontological Resource Management: award ranging from $10,000 to $18,000
– Aquatic Resource Management: award ranging from $15,000 to $100,000
– Forest and Woodlands Resource Management: award ranging from $10,000 to $50,000
– Rangeland Resource Management: award of $20,000
– Recreation and Visitor Services: award ranging from $10,000 to $100,000
– Threatened and Endangered Species Program: award ranging from $10,000 to $100,000
– Invasive and Noxious Plant Management: award ranging from $30,000 to $250,000
The grants are funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and IRA sections 50221 and 50222, which appropriated funding to DOI to support conservation, restoration, and resilience activities on public lands managed by the BLM.
