DOI Announces Two Funding Opportunities in California with February 3, 2025 Deadline

On December 4, 2024, DOI’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) posted two funding opportunities in California to support and protect natural resources on public lands:
1) DOI will award up to $300,000 for recreation and visitor services projects. Individual awards will be between $5,000 and $200,000. Additional application information can be found here.
1) DOI will award up to $3,000,000 for forest and woodlands resource management projects. The individual award will be between $50,000 and $300,000. Additional application information can be found here.

Applications for both programs are due by February 3, 2025. The awards will be made with BLM’s fiscal year 2025 funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act. IRA sections 50121 and 50122 appropriated funds for DOI to support conservation, resilience, and ecosystem restoration projects.
