On December 5, 2024, DOI’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) posted a $2,000,000 funding opportunity in Oregon/Washington through BLM’s Wildlife Program. The funding will be used to support a range of activities including to “protect wildlife habitat, migration, habitat connectivity that supports biodiversity; increase resilience to climate change and help leverage natural climate solutions” and more. Individual awards will be up to $1,500,000. Applications will be reviewed in two rounds with the following deadlines: February 12, 2025 (round 1) and March 14, 2025 (round 2). The awards will be made with BLM’s fiscal year 2025 funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act. IRA sections 50121 and 50122 appropriated funds for DOI to support conservation, resilience, and ecosystem restoration projects.
