DOI Publishes Call for Offshore Wind Leases Off of U.S. Territories

On January 6, 2025, DOI published a call for commercial leasing for wind power development on the Guam outer
continental shelf (OCS). IRA section 50251 requires DOI to issue calls for information and nominations for proposed wind lease sales in certain areas of the OCS adjacent to the territories of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands, with a statutory deadline of September 30, 2025. DOI has issued this call in compliance with that provision.

Responses to the call must be submitted by April 7, 2025.
