EPA Announces $4.3 Billion in Grants for Community-Driven Solutions to Cut Climate Pollution Across America

On July 22nd, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency announced $4.3 billion in funding for community driven solutions to cut climate pollution across America. This funding was made available through IRA section 60114, which provided funding for Climate Pollution Reduction Grants. This investment will fund 25 projects targeting greenhouse gas emissions across the economy. The proposed projects would reduce greenhouse gas pollution by as much as 971 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2050, roughly the emissions from 5 million average homes’ energy use each year for over 25 years
