Type: Implementation of IRA
On July 25th, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency announced more than $325 million in funding to help disadvantaged communities tackle environmental and climate based problems. This funding was made available through IRA section 60201, which provided $2 billion in funding to the Community Change Grants Program. This investment will fund non-profits, tribal organizations, universities, and more to support their work in tackling environmental justice problems. EPA is accepting applications through November 21, 2024 for additional Community Change Grant proposals, with requests for technical assistance due by August 16, 2024.
