EPA Announces More Than $34 Million to Tackle Climate Justice in Alabama and Tennessee

On July 29, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency announced $34.4 million to address climate justice in disadvantaged communities in Alabama and Tennessee. This funding is made available through IRA section 60201, which funded the Community Change Grants Program. This investment will reduce pollution, increase community climate resilience and build community capacity. Applications for Community Change Grants can be submitted through November 21, 2024 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
