EPA Announces Selections for Nearly $3 Billion of Investments in Clean Ports

On October 29, 2024 the EPA announced the recipients of nearly $3 billion in grants through the Clean Ports Program. These grants will support the deployment of zero-emission equipment, as well as infrastructure and climate and air quality planning projects at ports across the country. The equipment that is currently used at U.S. ports to move goods and people across the country contribute significant levels of diesel air pollution. Thus, the funds announced will be used to install clean, zero-emission technology that will eliminate more than 3 million metric tons of carbon pollution.
