On January 31, 2025, according to reporting by E&E News, EPA instructed employees hired to work on programs funded through the IRA and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to “not charge hours” to the administrative budgets affiliated with those projects. EPA asserted that doing so was in accordance with Trump’s Executive Order “Unleashing American Energy.”
