Type: Rollback of IRA
On March 21, 2025, EPA shared with Sierra Club a list of grants that EPA terminated between January 20 and March 7. The list was obtained through a FOIA request submitted to EPA by the Sierra Club. The grants, collectively worth hundreds of millions of dollars, included funding to lower emissions in the steel, lumber, cement and glass industries, amongst others.
The list includes fourteen grants that were awarded under IRA section 60201 through the Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Program and the Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program.
