EPA to Award $500,000 to South Bronx Organization to Combat Impacts of Climate Change

On June 21st, EPA announced $500,000 for Nos Quedamos, a non-profit community development corporation in the South Bronx. This funding is available through the Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Program. Funding for this program is established by IRA section 60201, which appropriated $2.8 billion in grant funding for projects to benefit communities with environmental justice concerns. Nos Quedamos will use the funds to prepare citizens for the effects of climate change, which include flooding and blackouts.
