Type: Implementation of IRA
On October 16, 2023, GSA and DOE announced a request for information on technologies to enable energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization in commercial buildings. GSA required that submissions be early-or underutilized-commercial technologies ready for evaluation in occupied, operational buildings and indicated that technologies for federal facilities will be considered for GSA’s Green Proving Ground (GPG) program and privately owned facilities for DOE-facilitated voluntary partnership programs.
The RFI will be open for submissions until Friday, December 8, 2023. Section 60504 of the IRA appropriates $975 million to the Federal Buildings Fund for emerging and sustainable technologies.
