On April 19, 2024, HUD hosted a bilingual roundtable for stakeholders in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands about the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). At the event, HUD highlighted grant and loan funding opportunities under the GRRP and other IRA-funded federal agency sources. These opportunities aim to increase energy efficiency and resiliency to extreme weather events in HUD rental assistance program multifamily properties. HUD provided guidance about the types of awards, eligibility requirements, and the funding application process. The 2024 application periods for the three different GRRP cohorts close on July 31, May 15, and June 12.
