NOAA Announces $123 Million for Coastal Management Programs and National Estuarine Research Reserves

On April 22, 2024, NOAA announced the recommendation of $123 million in IRA and BIL funds to support habitat restoration and conservation across coastal management programs and national estuarine research reserves. The goal of the recommended projects is to build resilience to climate change and extreme weather events through habitat restoration and planning, engineering, design, and ecosystem conservation. $36 million will be reserved for projects in partnership with tribes and Native Hawaii.
