On August 16, 2022, the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (“NOAA”) released a statement on the signing of the IRA and its impact on agency projects, specifically, the allocation of $3.3 billion for various agency programs, projects, and initiatives. These include, among others, programs to assist various communities as they become more prepared and resilient to the impacts of climate change; for acceleration and advancement of NOAA’s authoritative climate products and services; for climate research grants; and for high performance computing capacity and research for weather, oceans, and climate.
