NOAA Proposes $575 Million to Increase Coastal Climate Resilience

On July 26, 2024, the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration proposed $575 million in grants to increase coastal climate resilience. This funding is made available through IRA section 40001, which provides funding for investing in coastal communities and climate resilience. This investment will go to 19 projects to boost climate resilience in the nation’s coastal and Great Lakes states and territories.
