On January 11, 2023, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released a summary of projects and programs its launched in 2022 to support climate science and solutions, which include, among others, the launch of the Climate Mapping for Resilience and Adaptation and Heat.gov tools, the launch of two new satellites for weather forecasting, and the unveiling of a partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of State to improve international early warnings for weather and climate-driven disasters.
