Type: Rollback of IRA
Since March 28, 2025, the websites of seven out of eighteen Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTACs) have been pulled down. Websites are no longer active for TCTACs run by the National Wildlife Federation, University of Minnesota, Deep South Center for Environmental Justice, Wichita State University, Montana State University, San Diego State University and the Institute for Sustainable Communities.
The TCTAC program was funded by IRA section 60201, appropriating $3 billion to EPA in environmental justice block grants. Funds were to be available until September 30, 2026.
