Type: Implementation of IRA
On May 13, 2024, Treasury and IRS announced the opening of the application period for the 2024 Program Year of the IRC section 48(e) Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program, created by IRA section 13702. Applications will open at 9:00 a.m. ET on May 28, 2024 and close on June 27, 2024. DOE will continue to accept applications after this date on a rolling basis. A total of over 2.1 gigawatts of capacity are available in 2024.
