Type: Rollback of IRA
On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued an Executive Order, entitled “Unleashing American Energy,” in which he ordered that a number of steps be taken to facilitate use of the United States’s “abundance of energy and natural resources.” Among these steps was a directive to all agencies to immediately stop disbursing Inflation Reduction Act funds. The Order also instructed agencies to review the processes for issuing grants, loans, contracts, or any other financial disbursement of appropriated funds.
