Type: Implementation of IRA
On March 6, 2024, USDA announced $2.3 billion in clean energy investments in 23 states. $139 million in IRA section 22001 funds will be awarded to five applicants proposing to serve disadvantaged and Tribal communities in Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, and Nebraska under the Powering Affordable Clean Energy Program. $2.2 billion in Congressional appropriations will be awarded through USDA’s Electric Infrastructure Loan and Loan Guarantee Program to 39 projects in 21 states.
