USDA Announces $190 Million Grant Opportunity to Help Forest Landowners Address Climate Change

On July 25th, 2024, the United States Department of Agriculture announced that it was accepting applications for $190 million in grants for private forest landowners – including Tribes, underserved landowners, and smaller-acreage landowners – to address climate change. This funding was made available through IRA section 23003. This investment will support cost-share programs for landowners, as well as increase carbon sequestration practices.
