USDA Announces $25 Million to Reduce Wildfire Risk and Support Local Businesses

On August 6, the Department of Agriculture announced $25 million in grants through the hazardous fuels transportation assistance program to reduce wildfire risk, expand and create market opportunities, and support local jobs. The funding is made available through IRA section 23001, which funds national forest restoration and fuels reduction projects.
