On October 18, 2023, USDA announced $50 million in IRA section 23002 grant funding to be made available for proposals that support innovative uses of wood in the construction of low carbon buildings, as a renewable energy source, and in manufacturing and processing products. These investments will also support forest management projects to improve forest health and reduce wildfire risk.
