USDA Announces $78.3 Million in Partially Forgivable Loans through Powering Affordable Clean Energy Program

On December 16, 2024, USDA announced that it has awarded partially forgivable loans to seven clean energy projects through the Powering Affordable Clean Energy (PACE) Program. The projects are in Maryland, Ohio, Vermont, Washington, and American Samoa. In addition to these seven awards, USDA is moving forward with 32 other PACE applications in 23 states and Puerto Rico.

Funding for the PACE program comes from IRA section 22001, which authorizes USDA to make low-interest loans to expand renewable electricity generation.
