On July 18th, 2024, the United States Department of Agriculture announced that it was investing $90 million in 53 Conservation Innovation Grant projects. This investment was made available through IRA section 21001, which increased funding for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. This funding will support the development of new practices to increase conservation on private lands, including by providing financial assistance for the creation of easements.
