Type: Implementation of IRA
On December 3, 2024, USDA announced that the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Kansas is accepting applications for the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) for fiscal year 2025. The program provides funding for easements to reduce, capture, avoid, or sequester greenhouse gas emissions. NRCS is considering applications for both components of ACEP, the Agricultural Land Easements and the Wetland Reserve Easements. Applications for the IRA-funded portions of the program are due by December 20, 2024.
ACEP is funded by the Farm Bill and IRA section 21001, which appropriated funds to support climate smart agricultural conservation investments.
