On October 1, 2024, USDA announced that the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Missouri is accepting applications for the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) for fiscal year 2025. The program provides funding for easements to reduce, capture, avoid, or sequester greenhouse gas emissions. The Natural Resources Conservation Service is considering two rounds of applications for the IRA-funded portion of the ACEP, due October 4, 2024 and December 20, 2024.
ACEP is funded by the Farm Bill and IRA section 21001, which appropriated funds to support climate smart agricultural conservation investments.
