USDA to Provide $2.2 Billion of Assistance to 43,000 Farmers Who Faced Lending Discrimination

On July 31, 2024, the Department of Agriculture announced funding to more than 43,000 farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners who experienced discrimination in USDA farm lending programs prior to January 2021. This funding is made available through IRA section 22007, which funded the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program.
