Section 70001 of the IRA appropriates $500 million to the Secretary of Homeland Security to carry out its Sustainability and Environmental Programs initiatives through the Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer, which manages real property, assets, fleet, logistics, and sustainability for the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”). The appropriated funds will remain available until September 30, 2028.
