On November 29, 2022, DOI’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) published its record of decision for oil and gas Lease Sale 258 for Alaska’s outer continental shelf. IRA section 50264 required that BOEM hold Lease Sale 258, along with two other oil and gas lease sales.
