On September 5, 2024, EPA announced that it awarded a grant of $156 million to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities under EPA’s Solar for All program. Funding for this grant comes from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, created by IRA section 60103. The grant will be used to “develop long-lasting solar programs that enable low-income and disadvantaged communities to benefit from solar power.” The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is one of 60 grant recipients, which include state entities, Tribal entities, and multistate projects.
